If you are grieving over the loss of your pet, you are among the 99% of animal owners in the United States that feel their beloved pet is "one of the family". Some people grieve more deeply over the loss of their pet than they do over a human loss. Grief over the loss of one's pet is more difficult because many people do not understand or show compassion to those who are grieving the loss of an animal who had deeply touched their life. As with human grief, grieving over the loss of your animal is NORMAL. It is okay to be sad. Do not suffer alone or in silence. There are alot of wonderful web sites available to assist during this grieving process. We have listed a few where you will find sensitivity and support. As bereaved adults ourselves we have felt the sadness and grief many times over the loss of our devoted friends. Please accept our deepest sympathy. A great site for the entire family.
